NEW CERTIFICATE COURSE IN FOLK DANCES OF MAHARASHTRA AND GUJARAT

From the academic year 2016-17

Admission is at two levels -

1. To Foundation Course of 2 years duration after Xth S.S.C. or equivalent examination. (This is equivalent to G.C.E. level with five or more passes).

2. To the B.P.A. Course (Bachelor of Fine Arts- Performing Arts-Dance) of 3 years duration after Foundation (Dance) or XIIth (H.S.C.) or equivalent examination and minimum 3 years training in the style under a reputed Guru. The candidate will have to appear for an entrance test if seeking direct admission to the three years B.P.A. Course.

3. To the M.P.A. Course (Post Graduate Master of Fine Arts-Performing Arts - Dance) of 2 year's duration after B.P.A. (Dance) or an equivalent qualification.

Admission is also given to a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university and a certificate from a Govt. recognised dance institution / college of having passed Diploma of that institution in Bharata Natyam / Mohini Attam / Kathak / Kathakali and after clearing the entrance test of the college.

  • S. S. C. Mark list (original with three Xerox copies)
  • Two ID card size photograph
  • Passing certificate of S.S.C. Board
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • XIIth H.S.C. passing certificate and Mark list
  • OR
  • Equivalent Certificate
  • Clearing the entrance test conducted by the college
  • Certificate indicating having undergone dance training in the relevant dance style.
  • Graduation degree certificate from a recognised university
  • AND
  • Certificate of having undergone dance training in the relevant style from a Govt. recognised Dance institution / college.
  • Clearing the entrance test conducted by the college.
  • Having cleared either the NET examination or PET (Ph. D. Entrance Test of the University of Mumbai)
